Our home is built of timber and is on two levels. There are three bedrooms (one with en suite). Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, the third has a single bed. All have built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. There are two living areas- one is a TV room adjoining the dining room, the other is a large music and reading room with musical instruments and lots of books. There are verandas and decks on three sides of the house. The garden is extensive and has several ponds and fountains, fruit trees, vegetable garden, native trees and exotics. There is a freeform saltwater swimming pool. The kitchen has modern equipment including double ovens, gas cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and side-by-side refrigerator. The separate laundry has washing machine and dryer and a stainless steel washtub.

We are a retired professional couple. Brian was a lecturer in art at a Brisbane university and Nola was a college librarian. Both are seasoned travellers and love seeing new places as well as some old favourites. Brian was born in the UK and emigrated to Australia in 1960.

This is a rural area of Brisbane and the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac so is very quiet. There is however a nearby bus service running frequently. The Gold Coast is an hour away on a fast multi-lane highway. There are other lovely beaches to the north on the Sunshine and also lots of islands in Moreton Bay which are easily accessible by ferry.
