We have a three+one bedroom bungalow in the heart of Niagara wine country, half way between Toronto and Niagara Falls. It sleeps 8 people, has two full bathrooms,one with whirlpool and separate shower, one with shower, lovely garden with mature trees, and flagstone patio, BBQ & umbrella table & chairs, central air and vacuum, newly renovated, car exchange possible. We are steps to Lake Ontario, within walking distance of shopping. We would like to exchange for a house in Ireland, preferably fairly central, to accommodate 4 people, all adults, with possible car exchange. Our dates are the last couple of weeks in May or the first couple of weeks in June, 2004. We have to be in Glasgow on June 4, so would like to visit Ireland either before or after this date.
Our town of Grimsby is nestled between the shores of Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment. Our house is steps to the Waterfront Trail, excellent for walking or biking. The Bruce Trail is at the top of the escarpment, about 2 kms away. We are within walking distance of downtown. There is local bus and train service to Toronto and Hamilton. Grimsby has a population of 20,000 people.
We are in our mid-50's both working full time, Michael in civil engineering and Jean in nursing. Our travel companions will be one of our adult children and his girlfriend. We are interested in easy cycling, historical sites, pubs and traditional celtic music, theatre and touristy things in general.
