We—a retired Swiss journalist and his
Spanish lawyer wife—would like to
exchange our apartment in Madrid’s
safe, exclusive and centrally located
”Salamanca“ neighborhood for yours
in Manhattan during a six to seven
months’ period, starting April or May
2011 (we are somewhat flexible about
dates and duration).
We offer a duplex attic apartment
(penthouse) in a pre-war elevator
building of downtown Madrid (only a
few steps from a metro/subway
station and bus stops): two bedrooms
with three bathrooms; living and
dining areas; a roomy (and well
equipped) kitchen; two
studies (both with WiFi); and, last but
not least, a big—645 square feet—
rooftop terrace. There is a doorman.
And the lady who keeps the apartment
clean and washes and irons our
laundry will most probably be
prepared to do so for you as well.
We are looking for an apartment in
Manhattan with two bedrooms and space enough for both of us to work simultaneously at our computers.
