Who wouldn’t love to spend the Christmas/ New Year holidays in sunny Florida?
A fun time awaits you in the Villages. (thevillages.com) We are half way between Orlando, and Ocala Florida. The villa sits in the middle of a retirement community of about 75,000 houses, each divided into one of 62 “neighborhoods’. While there is technically no mass transit, there is a 2-seater electric golf cart available to go on the 87 miles of golf cart trails. You can use the golf cart to get to over 80 restaurants, 40 recreational centers, 4 fitness centers, 74 tennis courts, 50 pickleballs courts, 50 swimming pools, 29 executive golf courses and 9 championship golf courses. By the way, the executive golf courses are FREE. Of course, there are grocery stores and plenty of shopping, free entertainment on both town squares and happy hour every night! The villa itself is charming, cozy and comfortable. Forget stuffy elegance, you are on vacation. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a Comfort-pedic mattress. The guest room has a queen sized Sealy mattress. The third bedroom is an office and is not for use. Four people can sleep comfortably. There are two full-sized bathrooms. The lanai is enclosed for all year use. The courtyard is huge and enclosed by a wall. There are all the amenities - washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker and lots of kitchen toys, internet too. This is a non-smoking home and an adult community. No pets are preferred. My bucket list has me spending the Christmas holiday season in Manhattan and springtime in San Francisco or some other US city that has mass transit. I’m open to ideas. My late husband was in law enforcement for 27 years and I worked in a library for 20 years. I currently do fiduciary work for the VA so all I need is my laptop computer & Internet access. I prefer two bedrooms because family and friends will want to visit. References can be furnished.
