We, Alex and Louise, are
retired teachers living in a
beach house at Point
Cartwright on Queenslands
Sunshine Coast. Our bright,
modern, breezy, 3 storey, 3
bed/ 2bath, open-plan home is
on the dune of a narrow
headland overlooking the
river, marina, the beach
resort town of Mooloolaba, the
mountains beyond and the
coastline north to Noosa. Walking out the front door
past 4 houses brings you to
kilometers of green shady
parklands along the Mooloola
River with fishing, forest,
picnic tables, free BBQ’s and
amenities, an excellent cafe,
walking/cycling paths, coves
and lagoons for swimming and
breathtaking views.On the second floor, step from
the living/dining area opening
onto the integrated deck and
pool terraces and continue
out the back gate to access 15
km of pristine surf beaches
stretching from the point with
its cliffs, lighthouse and
wave-cut platforms to the
rocky headlands of Caloundra.The top floor is the retreat
with expansive master bedroom,
study, ensuite and walk in
robe. This can be open to the
sea breezes, views and sounds
of the surf or completely
shade and temperature
controlled. Local shops, cafes, fitness
centre are within a few
minutes walk while a 5 minute
bike ride outside this quiet
enclave brings you to the
Kawana supermarkets,
restaurants,medical centres,
major liquor outlets....one
of the principal retail and
service precincts on the
coast. We are 12 minutes from
Sunshine Coast airport and 1
hour North of Brisbane and
Brisbane Airport. The
Rainforest Walks and
charming mountain townships of
Maleny, Montville and Mapleton
along the scenic Blackall
range and the coastal resort
towns of Noosa, Peregian,
Coolum, Maroochydore,
Mooloolaba and Caloundra are
all within a half hour drive.
