Across the Bay from San Francisco
is our beautiful, comfortable, large,
immaculate home in a quiet, tree-
filled neighborhood in the North
Berkeley hills. Three bedrooms (one an
office), three full bathrooms (one en
suite in master bedroom), family room
with queen sofabed (the house sleeps
six), large living room, formal dining
room, and large, newly remodeled
kitchen with eating area, beautiful
terrace and garden, full laundry. Cable
TV, computer access plus WiFi, and
lots of books. We are one block
from Tilden Park, an enormous urban/
country park with miles of hiking
trails, an 18-hole municipal golf
course, a lake with sand beach,
(warmer here than San Francisco),
nature area, little farm, and carousel.
Berkeley offers the vitality of the
University of California; the Tony-
winning Berkeley Repertory Theater;
world famous Chez Panisse restaurant,
and much more. It's a 30-minute drive or BART
train ride to San Francisco; one hour to
the Napa Valley, gorgeous ocean
beaches, the Point Reyes National
Seashore; two hours to Carmel-by-
the-Sea; 3 1/2 hours to Mendocino,
Lake Tahoe, or Yosemite.We're looking for an exchange in
Seattle for about 10 days
